Yes. Intermediate unit standards build on Basic competency and require it as a prerequisite.

How long does it take?

What do I receive after successful completion?

You receive a proficiency certificate and Statement of Results (SoR) from your training provider.

Anybody Who Is Issued With A Company Firearm

Intermediate firearm training covers business-purpose unit standards for anyone who carries or works with a firearm while on duty. This includes security personnel, armed response officers, and staff in gun shops, casinos, airports, or other workplaces where firearms are issued, received, or booked in.

These standards also apply to anyone applying for a Dealer's Competency or wanting to trade in firearms or ammunition.
